Mulank (root number) comes from just your day of birth, reduced to a single digit by adding its digits together (e.g. 29 -> 2+9=11 -> 1+1=2). Bhagyank (destiny number) comes from your entire date of birth, reduced the same way.

Each of the 9 possible Mulank/Bhagyank digits is traditionally linked to a ruling planet in Vedic astrology (1=Sun, 2=Moon, 3=Jupiter, 4=Rahu, 5=Mercury, 6=Venus, 7=Ketu, 8=Saturn, 9=Mars), which shapes the personality traits, strengths, and challenges associated with that number.

Lucky numbers shown here share the same digital root as your Mulank or Bhagyank (adding 9 to a number never changes its digital root) - a traditional, easily verified numerology convention.
